Exekrator was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1993 a. b. by vocalist Tue Brisson and now former members. The band has been plagued by line-up problems through the years and the first release was the rehearsal demo of 1997 on tape format. This release already showed Exekrator developing their own unique style of Black Heavy Metal.
   In 1999 a. b. the band entered the studio again to record the self-financed "The Beast is Come" 7"EP. For this release current guitarist Mads Grave had joined the band.
   In the year 2001 a. b. the other guitarist, Henrik Engkjær joined the band. The year after that the band entered the studio to record a four track demo-CD-r. This attracted the attention of Czech label View Beyond Records who released the "Superstitionis Maleficiae" 7"EP in 2004 a. b. Since then more underground labels have showed interest, but the band is looking for a new drummer to record new songs and play live.
